You really need to just start trying them each out. I don’t know anything about you. I don’t know what your goals are.
Just give each class a test run.

Hi:
I am both Hatha and Kundalini Yoga Certified Teacher for over 20 years(and my husband’s right hand in construction, we are builders).
You are interested in yoga and don’t know where to start.
The best way for you to find a style that you like is by experiencing yoga, not reading about it or hearing about it.
Borrow some yoga videos/DVDs from your local libray, I have seen many excellent ones! Don’t buy anything yet. Just get a blanket in front of your TV, wear comfortable loose clothing and do a set. Then find a different yoga style set and do it as well…
You might find it challenging physically, be patient with your body, I am now way more flexible than when I started over 20 years ago. If you find that you like a particular yoga style, do a set until you are better.
When you are ready, sign in a proper group class.
Verify your instructor’s credentials, over 200 hrs of teacher training is acceptable.
Yoga is not for everybody, you might like it, you might not like it. That is why I advise you not to invest in anything for yoga at this point.
Rachel Welch’s Beauty and Fitness program book and video inspired me (1984) Borrow this book from your library. She looks like a million bucks and was in her late 40s when the photos were taken. My goal then was to do everything in the book as good as her. I am as fit now in my middles 40s as that book.
Later Kundalini Yoga as taken me into the world of energies, meditation, chakras, mantra…
But again, do several yoga sets and then decide.
Best of lucks and blessings.
Namaste…Sat Nam…
Yoga is a big subject. Iyengar yoga, Ashtanga yoga, Bikram yoga and Hatha yoga are the main types.
Iyengar was created by B.K.S Iyengar. It uses props, like belts, to aid the performing of asanas. Which are postures.
Ashtangais a system of yoga which has its routes in an ancient manuscript known as the Yoga Kuruta.
Bikram yoga also known as hot yoga is a style developed by Bikram Choudhury. Bikram yoga is idealy practiced in a room heated to 40c. Classes are guided by specific dialogues including 26 postures and two breathing exercises.
Hatha yoga also know as Hatha Vidya, is a particular system of yoga introduced by Yogi Swatmarama. It practices the asanas and Pranayama. Which is basically purification and preperation for long meditation sessions.
